For many years, professional athletes have worked with personal trainers to help them improve their performance and raise their standards for accelerated results.

As a former professional tennis player I was one of them.:-)

Now increasingly, many of today’s most successful business leaders, professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, artists, and even teenagers are hiring professional coaches to take their careers, lives, and/or businesses to the next level.

But what is coaching it exactly ?

Coaching is…

…A relationship

It is a powerful custom-designed alliance between two people, the coach and the client: It is an ongoing, confidential relationship with focus, intent, commitment, enthusiasm and action from both sides.

The goal of our connection is to forward and enhance the lifelong process of human learning, effectiveness and fulfillment.

A coaching relationship needs a high level of compatibility: We need to be sure we both will want to work together.

…A tool

Coaching is all about helping YOU to achieve whatever it is you really want in life.
This might sound a bit flat at first …but it really is that simple.

Coaching is one of the most valuable tools in the world to help you develop your potential. What really counts is a measurable result for YOU and the creation of your dreams.

Coaching is a tool to help wih many situations in your life.

  • Some people want MORE from life: more fulfillment, more balance, more joy.
  • Others want LESS: less confusion, less stress, less disappointment

How is Coaching different from consulting?

Consultants are outside experts hired to use their experience and training to provide their professional answers or solutions for specific problems. In a coaching relationship, it is the clients who are the experts, while the coach guides him or her toward discovering their own resources for creating new possibilities.
How is Coaching different from therapy?

How is Coaching different from therapy?

Coaching is not therapy. Therapy is working with the client’s past experiences and how they impact the client’s current life. Coaching focuses more on a future goal to change the current situation at hand. It focuses on the journey ahead rather than reviewing the path you have left behind.

I help people move forward and set personal and professional goals that will give them the life they really want.
How is Coaching different from friendship?

How is Coaching different from friendship?

Friends are a fantastic resource for opinions and agreement, but is your best friend an objective professional who you can trust to advise you on the most important aspects of your life or business? Friends often lack the objectivity required for true breakthroughs. Coaching creates a safe space to explore what’s possible from within yourself while your coach remains objective and free of judgment. A good life coach is never afraid to tell you the truth and is willing to be fired at any time.

Why not have a best friend and a life coach?
How is Coaching different from sports Coaching?

How is Coaching different from sports Coaching?

Coaching often includes principles from sports coaching, such as being your best, doing more than you think you can, working with a team, and setting goals. However, sports coaching is very much about win/lose. Your life is not a competition. While sports coaches are striving for forced results with direct positive and negative reinforcement. Personal coaching is very much about win/win. The power within yourself creates your victory. Your life coach will help you win in your own life!
How is Coaching different from mentoring?

How is Coaching different from mentoring?

The heart of mentoring is passing on one’s own experience and knowledge. What is interesting in coaching is that it requires no experience or knowledge on what this client would like to be coached on. Often it is even more beneficial for the client as it encourages them to step out of the detailed story of the issue and connect to their role in it. This often results in the client finding the solution that has previously evaded them.

Generally clients articulate what they want in life or in a particular area and I give them the opportunity to see the different paths to achieve this goals.

Coaching is a relationship or even partnership, in which the client brings the content, the coach – the process.

In a way coaching is an effective way of communication, which allows people to expand the boundaries of perception. During the process clients identify certain habits or limiting believes that can hinder the natural movement towards a happy and joyful life.

The next step is to design a system together to get to the ultimate vision of their goals.
